"Creosote buildup was worse than I realized. He measured it, showed me the glazing on the flue with the camera, and was honest that we were closer to a chimney fire than I wanted to hear."
"Liner was cracked in two places. He walked me through the repair options honestly, including the one that was cheaper for him and better for me."
"Swept it, capped it, and installed a proper damper. The downdraft smell in the summer that we'd lived with for years is gone."
"Good work. The written inspection report took about a week to arrive after I asked for it, which was slower than I expected."
"Fireplace had never drawn properly since we moved in. He found the damper was only opening halfway due to a bent linkage and fixed it in ten minutes."
"Thorough sweep and a clear report. He was running late from the job before and arrived near the end of the window, though he did call to warn me."
"Level two inspection before we bought the house. The report was detailed enough to use as a negotiating point and he explained every photo in it."
"Cap keeps the birds out now, which after two springs of scratching noises is worth every penny."
"Crown was cracked and taking water. Repaired it rather than quoting a rebuild, which the previous company had pushed hard for."
"Drop cloths everywhere, HEPA vac, and not a speck of soot on the carpet. I'd been dreading the mess for nothing."
